is there anyone who filed in August/September for those living abroad that had been auto expedited? so that we'd know if this "auto expedite" thing for USC living abroad still works?

i-130 for spouse

USCIS (85 days)

August 23, 2012 - Sent I-130

August 28, 2012 - NOA1 via email

September 25, 2012 - NOA1 hardcopy received

November 21, 2012 - NOA2 via email

NVC

November 29, 2012 - NVC case received (Case # not ready)

December 3, 2012 - NVC case number and IIn received

December 3, 2012 - Choice of Agent e-mail sent (DS 3032)

December 5, 2012 - AOS Bill Invoiced and Paid

December 11, 2012 - AOS Packet sent

December 12, 2012 - DS 3032 accepted

December 13, 2012 - IV Bill Invoiced

December 31, 2012 - Checklist for AOS (forgot to put N/A on part 6)

January 16, 2013 - AOS packet accepted (they are waiting for IV Fee payment)

January 25, 2013 - IV Bill paid

January 28, 2013 - IV Bill shows PAID - IV Packet sent

February 7, 2013 - IV return checklist incomplete dates on DS230

February 8, 2013 - sent checklist

February 15, 2013 - CASE COMPLETE!!

March 6, 2013 - Packet 4 received

April 1, 2013 - Interview at the USEM MANILA-APPROVED :)

January 30, 2013 - I-130 received Phoenix, AZ

There is no such thing that I have read about. The only way that is a sure fire expedite is being military and being deployed that I know of. Do you have a link talking about this auto expedite?

Removal of conditions Journey

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.

There is no such thing that I have read about. The only way that is a sure fire expedite is being military and being deployed that I know of. Do you have a link talking about this auto expedite?

Other VJ members in circumstances where the US Citizen petitioner living abroad in countries where DCF is not available have reported that when they use their foreign address on all forms and send it to the Chicago lockbox, the turnaround time from submission to adjudication decision has been quick. This suggests a special queue for petitions filed in stated circumstances enter a special queue, even though USCIS will deny such a queue exists.

September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Yeah, but philippines has DCF unless he is living somewhere else, in which case there would be no reason to apply for a US visa unless he is getting ready to live in the US. There was not enough information in the post to know for sure.

not everyone can do DCF in the philippines, you must be a resident. and they ask you for too many things. just wanted to know who Filed from abroad that had been transferred to NBC but were still expedited... im not talking about my case but other people's cases too... :)

if you read ryan h's link, yes there were USC living abroad that their cases has been auto expedited... maybe not all, but there were... and we're following their timelines to give us heads up on how it went... :)

and btw, if you file I-130 it means that you are getting ready to live in the US, coz it requires the beneficiary to be in the US once it is approved...
