does the usa have a document that shows your free to marry? or is just writing and signing the free to marry document enough evidence from us citizen to show free to marry the foreign beneficiary.

If you don't have a divorce decree (and/or a marriage certificate) you are assumed to be single and free to marry. There is no special document for this case.

ok thanks so if i create a new updated letter of intent and sign will that be enough. also should i have it notarized?

Thanks for you answer I was asking the same thing? Because here in Mexico they do have one its called Constancia De Solteria and when I asked in my hometown in the states they just laughed and said "We dont give those unless your divorced" .. thanks again :thumbs:
