Hi, as this is the first time to have a marriage , I dont have any ideas about the steps on how to organize wedding esp in Ca, usa. I am a filipina and im hoping that i could do something to organize it.. Or is it really advisable to have a civil wedding with just the two us in there? Or is it possible that we can still prepare for a simple wedding arrangements in just a short period of time.. If you can suggest links or anything , I will be so happy, thank you.

*** Moving from K1 Process to Progress Updates as not visa related ***

A lot of people have a quick civil wedding so they can file AOS, then a religious ceremony and/ or reception some months later, once the foreigner has made some friends/ can organise and look at venues etc, or even have a ceremony back in the home country.

Our original plan was just to elope to Vegas in Elvis and Dolly Parton outfits LOL jk! but now my small family have asked me if we could just do it in San Diego so they could attend and just to go Vegas afterwards. So changed of plan, we'll get married at the city courty, worry about the dress I'll wear (I think that's the stressful part) and do the reception in a private/banquet style to one of the restaurants here.

Even with civil wedding you'll need at least one witness, if you can't provide one then for a fee the court will assign it.

He promised to give me a decent one in few years, if it happens then great if not then as long I'm still married to him I'll be perfectly happy :)

It will be up to you both and whatever you've decided on. Good luck!
