Seems like a lot of us interviewed on 12/12/2012 were given 221g. Mine though is a clear cut case of stupidity on my part(took a wrong PCC).!! A guy who was interviewed before me was given a 221g and also a girl after me. And hey Naina.. She is also from hyderabad, like me, and was said exactly the same words you were told by the same consular officer!!

hey minne i am same girl from hyd ,, we both were toghter rememberr....have you submitted your pcc

Thank You :) btw I am on strict diet currently under my husband's instructions through phone. No Ghee, Shakkar :) ! Yaar it is really scary and painful, why they are taking so much time? and there is no other way to get to know from Mumbai Consulate. Do you have any idea, is there any separate immigration unit for checking 221(G) papers? or the same Visa Officer will review the papers?

BTW those who have status Ready, has this description: ( Mine is Ready as well):

" Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html
