its usa number or Indian number ? and one more thing did u got acknowledgment after submitting your documents in vfs

Its US number and yes in the document submission slip, they signed it and said it is your acknowledgement.

today i emailed to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com to know about my passport status and i got reply "delivered to post"

can anyone explain what is the meaning of delivered to post

The passport tracking messages are misleading. It is best to call travel.state.gov directly and get an update.. Just for those that may want help in interpreting the cryptic UStraveldocs.com messages here is an explanation

"The current status of your passport is In Transit To Post."= VFS/USTraveldocs is yet to deliver your passport to the Consulate. It is inbetween the USTraveldocs location and Consulate

"The current status of your passport is Delivered To Post." = VFS/USTraveldocs has delivered your passport to the Consulate. I knew i read it right the first time

"The current status of your passport is Origination Scan." = US Consulate has filled in your Courier slip but is awaiting Courier Company to pick it / Courier Company is in the process of issuing an AWB/Reference code.

"The current status of your passport is In Transit From Post." = The passport with or without the visa is now being transported by courier to the pick up location that you specified at the time of creating the appointment. Please check the location of pickup on your US Consulate appointment invitation letter

"The current status of your passport is Ready For Pickup." = It has arrived at the Pickup location. For some it may be the Facilitation Center.

"The current status of your passport is Picked Up." = Lets hope that it was you that picked it up

i am going to courier it as VO said courier it and HelpDesk also said courier since it is immigrant visa case and they only need new passport nothing else.

they also asked me to add attention: Immigrant Visa Unit

Did they return your passport?

Did they told you why they are putting you on Admin Proc?

My wife was interviewed at Mumbai on 26 Nov, she is still waiting for visa.

yes they gave me 221g

and yes he returned me back my passport and the vo asked me not to worry as there is no problem with ur application atall,,,she told me dont worry i will send you email for sure soon then u submit ur passport and i will stam visa on it ,,,so dontowrry this is very normal process this was the vo words.

no she did not inform me why she is putting me on ap

please help me is there some problem ....to worry

Hi Naina,

You know what, this Vo are like CBI officers and they always look for some clue...not sure why they put you on AP based on your situation. But don't worry, at least the VO is nice to you and since December month has bagful of holidays so we need to wait. Nothing can be done. Have patience!

there is nothing to worry, but they have put your case in AP to check your background etc. once they compelete they will ask you to deposit passport for visa stamping.

did your 221g has any CEAC bar code?

i am really scared ,,,, and time is not passing ...each and every minute is so stessfull....i think now praying is the only option left ...hope everybody here who are stucked with 221g should get there visa soon

Seems like a lot of us interviewed on 12/12/2012 were given 221g. Mine though is a clear cut case of stupidity on my part(took a wrong PCC).!! A guy who was interviewed before me was given a 221g and also a girl after me. And hey Naina.. She is also from hyderabad, like me, and was said exactly the same words you were told by the same consular officer!!
