That is good. I had a difficult time with my MJ. I just used skype as even to the phone lines in USA it was clearer than Skype. My son is in Kuwait and everytime he tries to call me on MJ it is static. We end up on Skype. I am happy your MJ is working for you. Maybe your DSL or WIFI is better.

My husband and I bought some of them when I came here to the US a few month ago. I gave one to my mom and sad, to my grandparents and my sister. So I call them every day and its basically free call

We've been using Magic Jack for over 4 years now,...

It has served us well up to now,... It is reliant to your internet speed though,...

Facetime is also a BETTER alternative,.. (this is FREE for as long as you have a decent internet speed via WiFi,..)

We simply love Facetime,...

I had nothing but trouble with the MJ+, could never get them to work right so I returned them, then discovered Google Voice with Obi-talk, sound quality is light years better than MJ and aside from buying the OBI box the service is totally free.

I brought one over back in March, hooked it to the router, does not need a computer, works great.

I stopped using Magic Jack. It was kinda of a stepping stone to using Globe Duo International. The internet in the Philippines is very unreliable or has very weak signals. I am using Globe Duo now, and we talk like there's no tomorrow. Unlimited calls on your cell phone makes it the service worthwhile.

Been using MJ for 4 years now and it works great. We have 1 and parents house and grandparents house and a 3rd in Canada. We call all 3 from the US and they call each other for free between MJ. You need to make sure the connection is at least DSL speed. They have MJ plus now - you don't have to have a computer to us MJ plus.

At my house I have a minimum of 17MB download and 3-4 MB upload, MJ would not work. In the Phils they have DSL which is about 1.5 MB download is my guess, the OBI is always crystal clear, I called back to the states using it numerous times and the calls were always great.

The Globe Duo International service is a Godsend for us too. We talk forever. Text DUOINTL (I think) to 8888 for info.
