I am also an American but we are not off we are working so why cant NVC :innocent::lol:

Yup me too... no off here...I am working Big Time!!!! Thank you pgupta for calling and making sure or else I would have been the first caller for NVC :P on Monday 8th. So I guess Tuesday is going to be very busy for the NVC operators :yes: . Oh God! no matter what the day I just wish they have better information to give when we all call next week :blush::wacko:

And yeah, I have to work ~5 hours that day, too. Courts are closed but the law office ain't. Woo hoo for extra hours.

My wife and her family are planning big going away party for her in Morocco for when I return...and somehow I am stuck paying for it. At least its worth it :)

Their spouses can't work though. Several of my H1-B friends have bored wives at home. Unless, they get sponsored their own h1-b which is really hard if you're not in technology.

L2 wifes can work, and even they have plan to allow H4 wifes to grant EAD. and H1 is a dual intent visa.

worst thing is you can marry a person who is on visitor visa in US or even illigaly entered and they can adjust status to GC without leaving US.
