I-130 question #2 and 15.

Timeline

now filing for my spouse I-130.

question number 2 states if "are you related by adoption?"

of course we are not related by adoption, since the guide form on this forum has no answer whether i should answer yes or no, what should i mark? should i leave it blank or answer "no".

on question #15 stating name and address of present employer.... is that question for me or for my foreign spouse???

# 2: if you are not related by adoption, click on "No." Never leave anything blank.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

This form is used for more than petitioning for a spouse, it can be used for brother, sister, mother, father, so the question about relationship through adoption is a legitimate one could be you are filing the petition for a brother or sister.

As for question 15,

If you look carefully at the form you will notice that the info on page 1 is organized into 2 distinct columns The column on the left is for the Petitioner (US Citizen) and the column on the right is for the foreign beneficiary, Question 15 is in the right column so applies to the foreign beneficiary, so is the foreigner's present job in the foreign country.
