Yes you do because you will always be the primary sponsor when you're the original petititioner. You will need to fill out the i-134 and later down the road, you will need to do the same for AOS regardless of having a joint sponsor or not.

To put it it other words, you're the primary sponsor and you're the first in line to pay up if your fiancee becomes a public charge because she is first and foremost your responsibility, secondly the joint sponsor who signed the affidavit.

No one said anything about not filing. But what I read doesn't ask for taxes, it asks for pay stubs. And last year I made just over $5k. Again. The question is, if there is a co-sponsor, it's her information they're looking at?

Again, you are the primary sponsor no matter what. Provide your 2011 tax transcript and you won't have to worry about whether it was needed or not. It is free and easy to get from the IRS. You provide your I-134 and all supporting documents, and the co-sponsor does the same. The co-sponsor also needs to include proof of being a USC or LPR. That is the only difference in what is provided by each. London is the only consulate I am aware of that does not require the financial information from the petitioner if they are using a co-sponsor.

Okay. I filed online. Can I print that, or do I need something official from that IRS?

You can print that and add copies of your w-2s, and/or 1099s and/or schedule C. You can also get a tax transript from the IRS, makes no difference.

You can send a complete copy of your return with all forms, schedules, attachments and W-2s and/or 1099s, everything you would have sent into the IRS had you filed by mail. Or, you can order a free IRS transcript. No need to worry if it is complete or include W-2s. The transcript is all you need. They usually only take a few days to a week to receive. http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Order-a-Transcript

Thanks. Guess I'll show the transcript AND the pay stubs. The pay stubs will show considerably more income than last years taxes.
