I saw on the news tonight that the warnings extend all the way to the U.S. Embassy in Manila too. My wife says it wont be a problem there, but just stay alert and be careful y'all

Yes it's sad.. The good thing about Manila, they won't take any ####. We live in a world that can be unsafe at any moment. I would honestly say I feel more safe in some parts of the Phils then in the states sometimes..

Unless you are in Sulu or Western Mnindano, the Philippines is safer than much of Los Angeles. The news like to make a big deal out of things. Yes it is serious. Yes, the deaths are tragic. But the most dangerous part of just about any trip to the Philippines is your drive to the airport.

California isn't concealed carry friendly... so all "victims" are easy marks in LA. At least in the Manila/Makati area there are arms guards on almost every street corner... LA should follow that....
