I-693/I-864 to Interview

A question for the fellow members who have already been to the interview: Do you need to bring new I-693 or I-864 to your AOS interview?

I submitted my I-693 and I-864 along with my AOS application back in July 2005. My husband hasn't filed his 2005 taxes yet, we're doing that next week. I didn't work in 2005, and we're filing joint/married. We have the copies of our application package for all the forms and proof, plus we have additional copies of letters of offer, pay stubs, etc.

We're not sure if we should fill out the I-864 again with 2005 information, get it notarized and take that with us to the interview, or just bring the copy. Will we need to get a copy of the I-693, or because we already submitted them, are we good to go?

I realize it's a lot of questions, but the letter left it up to us and we'd rather be safe (and thoroughly prepared) than sorry (and denied).

After searching through a couple other posts, I can't really be sure if we should have an unsigned (but notarized copy? or just witnessed by the immigration officer?) of the I-864 or not. Jeepers.

We had out interview on Feb 17th. I didn't take our 2005 taxes; no I693 and no new I864. All he asked pertaining to I864 was if anything regarding the income had changed and I said its the same except for a little raise expected in March. That was all!

So, don't worry about it. If you feel nervous or if things have changed substantially on your I864 then do a new one otherwise sit back relax and Good Luck!

If there has been a change in salary or job, you need to take a new affadavit of support. Otherwise, you only need a copy of what you initially submitted.

You should also take a copy (doesnt have to be notarized) of the medical form incase USCIS lost while processing your case (happens occasionally).

Yeah, my husband got a modest raise this coming pay cheque but it wasn't going to affect the overall posting. There was no concern for poverty level, and the change isn't drastic (IE: +$10,000)
