If your Priority Date meets the most recent Qualifying Date, the NVC will:

Invoice you for your visa application fees

Collect your visa application and supporting documentation

Hold your visa petition until an interview can be scheduled with a consular officer at a U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate General abroad.

If your Priority Date DOES NOT meet the most recent Qualifying Date, the NVC will notify you and hold your petition until your Priority Date meets the most recent Qualifying Date. The Department of State updates the Qualifying Dates on a monthly basis.

The above is an excerpt from NVC Website. My question is: What if you don't have a priority date written on your NOA2 as in my case. I'm in the military and I requested for my K1 to be expedited which USCIS granted. I called NVC and got my MNL#. I'm just wondering, will NVC hold my case? Please throw in your two cents here. Thanks!

Usually, once it gets to the NVC, they process the files and forward it to the appropriate Consulate. You said you called them and they gave you your MNL#, which means that either your file is probably about to be sent to Manila, on its way to it or already there..

Supposedly, independently of your case expedition, you file will reach the Embassy and your fiancee can get the ball rolling there with everything that needs to be done.

I suggest that you visit the Regional Forum for Philippines , where you'll be able to ask others what exactly are the steps to take once your case reaches Manila. This things are Embassy specific and I believe you can start doing certain things there with your MNL#.
