So, we kinda goofed. Never reported our marriage to the Philippine Embassy/Consulate.

I understand we just have to add an affidavit stating we are idiots and that's why we never filed before. J/K

Anyway, my issue is with how they have our names worded.

For example, for me, the husband, they ask for NAME (last name, first name, mother's maiden surname).

Well I have never used my mothers maiden name before as a part of my name. I normally use First, Middle, Last on any legal documents, so I would expect to put Last, First, Middle on that line. Am I incorrect?

For my wife they ask for MAIDEN NAME (last name, first name, mother's maiden surname). I think this one is a little more difficult. Or I could be over thinking it.

My wife's middle name USED to be her mothers maiden name. Her last name USED to be her dads last name.

After marriage, her middle name is now her maiden name and her last name is our last name.

Now that I am writing it out here, I am guessing that I should put her, Maiden name. First, Middle (mothers maiden name).

I was originally thinking we had to add in our name in there somewhere.

The reason for worrying about this is her Passport is coming up for renewal and she wants to have her married name on it.

It should be eg: Mary Smith Jones (maiden name) and Mary Jones Andrews (married name) LOL I could be wrong since I was never married but soon

We aren't going to report our marriage, and Chinook is going to let her Philippines passport expire.

Her naturalization interview is in a couple of weeks and soon she'll be traveling with a blue passport. :star:

Makes total sense, as the U.S. government requires (duel) citizens traveling to and from the USA to use a U.S. passport. We are planning to do the same (keeping the expired Phils passport just for reference at the airport in Manila)

Yep. Keep the expired passport to get the Balikbayan stamp in your passport, and all the privileges that go with it.
