I have booked my interview date so late :( so I got like a really last date on October.

My NOA2 expires on September 30 or something, and my friend told me if there are early available dates, I can reschedule to those early dates.

On the website I cannot seem to see any of those early available dates, I cant see any dates at all. It says I need to cancel before I can reschedule.

The problem is I dont want to cancel unless I see any early available dates.

Please help..

p.s. I also want to know if anyone here in the Philippines has managed to contact the consul in the manila embassy to extend the eligibility of their NOA2 because the interview date exceeds the expiry date, thank you very much.

Do not worry about your NOA2 exiration date, the embassy will extend that by 4 months (up to a year), just give them a phone call or send an email. An October interview date is golden right now as the embassy is very backed up because of being closed with the flooding.

Embassy (Manila) Phone Number (and email)

(632) 301-2000, extension 5184 or 5185 (local number: USEM 3012000 loc 5184/5185 call them around 3-4:30pm)

** (214) 571-1600 or (646) 254-3546 (these are USA numbers)

NEW EMAIL ADDRESS

In order to serve our visa applicants more efficiently, we have created this new e-mail address: IVMNLAppointments@state.gov , for early appointment requests and visa scheduling issues. Please note, however, that early appointment requests will be approved on a case to case basis (i.e., aging out cases, or in cases involving personal or medical emergencies), and only if visa interview slots are available.

For other immigrant and K visa concerns, please send an e-mail to IVManilaReplies@state.gov

.

To enable us to electronically sort the messages and provide better, more timely responses, you should follow the instructions below.

The subject line of your email should indicate the visa applicant’s last name, first and middle name (ex. DOE, John James), case number/USCIS receipt number, visa category and priority date.

Messages should be limited to 500 characters or less. The mail size should not be more than 15 KB.

Do not submit documentation or attachments with your message as our system is unable to receive inquiries with attachments.

Do not send your inquiry more than once as duplicate inquiries will congest our system and delay our response time.

************ INTERVIEW DAY: Remember no electronics are allowed in the embassy; no cell phones, no cameras, no memory stiks. And no food. **************

You will need to call several times a day to the appointment line to try and get an earlier one. You have to cancel your appointment to see it online and you don't want to do that.

Good luck and be thankful that you have an appointment right now.

Thank you so much Hank, *hug you through the screen*

My friends have been telling me I can re-schedule hopefully to an earlier date, if in case there is a September date that comes out..

I honestly don't see available dates on the website, but thanks for telling me about the flooding thing.

Well..to be honest I thought the embassy would have some kind of fortress that would make the water not go inside. The country is well aware of its problems but for many years..*sigh*I dont want to go political.

I was wondering, the people who have already set their interview dates online, are they having problems with their interview for September due to the floods?

That very risky...seems like your gambling by grabbing the earlier date because you need to cancel your FIRST appointment. If you do so, chances the available date that the operator just saw he/she cannot guarantee to SAVE that for you UNTIL he/she click on the next page...too bad if someone online/other operator just grab that date. Then you just lost your spot/interview....its better if you don't have appointment yet there's nothing to lose. (That’s exactly what the operator told me; just like you guys we want to get/got lucky to get an earlier interview appointment...lol)

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

That's the first I have heard of that. I wouldn't trust what one of tbose operators on the apointment line told me. But I suppose it is possible as they have to cancel your interview first. So in the 5 seconds it takes to push a button or two( who really knows) to cancel you then sign you up for the earlier appointment, someone could be online pushing a button earlier?

I was calling everday for 3 weeksto try and get an earlier appointment and if that operator would have told me there was an earlier appointment I would have jumped on it no matter what. Even if 2 says earlier.
