Hi All,

what am supposed to write if my wife could not remember or be sure of her ex husband immigration status? their marriage didnt last for long time. am trying to answer Part 8 question G of the N-400 Application? do i have to check "Other" and put unknown? Thank you.

She does not remember his status by the time of divorce?

You will need to check others, and put unknown.

And when you are asked at the interview let them know that your wife doesnt remember.

Since your wife is not sure about the status of her ex, go in for the 'others' option. As suggested by others, she can explain the situation when asked at the interview.

You will be interviewed alone. If your spouse is there in the waiting area then the interviewing officer could ask her to clarify if needed.
