Hello All,

Completely confused and would really appreciate some help on this. One of the last steps at the NVC was to send in our Package IV which included DS-230, birth certificate, passport biopage copy, marriage certificate, PCC and photos. Our case was completed and forwarded to Mumbai for the interview.

Now in Mumbai, according to the consulate's website we have to submit all this again?

I thought that the NVC already sends this information over.

Can someone please advise? Thanks.

ya, it's all confusing, right?

And VFS Instructions will make it even more confusing..

Sorry, it's been this confusing for almost 4 years now.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Hi..

Well you have to submit all the originals to NVC along with a set of photocopies of all those originals documents.

Then NVC verifies the documents and cross checks the photocopies with originals.. keeps the photocopies with them for their record and sends the originals to Mumbai consulate.

Next stage once your NVC case is closed your interview is scheduled.... once again you submit all photocopies to VFS along with medical reports...

At the interview you get your originals back.

Hope this helps..

Read that pdf file again. All those documents need to be submitted to VFS prior to your interview.

it's not confusing at all. it's very clearly written document explaining which documents you need to submit at VFS office prior to your interview.
