US Embassy is still reviewing my files?

I called the US Embassy today to find out the status of my visa. The agent told me that they still have my passport and that they are still reviewing my case. I was kind of confused because the consul told me that I was approved and they did not ask for any additional documents. After my interview, I was just told to wait for a text message to pick up my visa... What to do? My fiance already booked our flight.

It is not advisable to book any flights until your visa / travel documents are in your hand for precisely this reason.

My fiance called today too but it's because I have a special case regarding my name. The person that my fiance spoke to said that the visa has been issued on Friday the 17th, I understood this as either the visa sticker has been printed or the the next step would be releasing to 2GO.I had my interview on the 15th so I believe everything is okay with my visa.

Kindly inform me when you get your visa.

What number did you call? My fiance called the number for specific cases which is +6323012000. Try to call this number again and ask about your concern. This is the number that my fiance called.

Its a little strange since we are both interviewed and approved on the same day but when my fiance called, he was informed that my visa was issued on Friday. When I emailed them yesterday, I was answered today and again was informed that my visa was issued Friday. Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary? Sometimes, they are more pleasant when its the petitioner calling them. That's the same reason why I always make my fiance call them in my behalf.

I heard they are always very pleasant towards the petitioners but aren't totally pleasant to beneficiaries. Anyways, what happen to my name was, it was misspelled by my fiance on his I-129F but we had it corrected by calling the USCIS before the NOA2. When the case was forwarded to NVC, it was still wrongly spelled. On my appointment letter, my name was still wrongly spelled. I feared that the same problem would arise on my visa sticker that's why I asked my fiance to correct my name by calling and me by emailing. That's is when the my fiance was informed that my visa was issued on Friday and I was emailed and informed that my visa was issued on Friday too. No, I haven't called 2GO but since you mentioned, I now think of doing so. I chose to have my visa picked up at MOA.

I just called and was told the same thing. My interview was last August 15 as well. I was told they are still processing my visa and it is still at the consul's office. I got confused so I asked if that means I am on AP and she asked if they gave me a white paper form, I said No. She then ask what the consul said and I said she congratulated me and told me my visa was approved. And the agent just said, so yun, you're not on AP. She sounded like she was rushing me off the phone. Any way, I will ask my fiancé to call instead and see if they'll be nicer to him and give more information. This is so frustrating. I thought the stress of waiting is over after the interview, I guess not. :crying:
