Hi everyone, I sent my wife's AOS package priority mail to the Chicago address on August 3rd, and received a text on August 7th it was received. I was expecting the first Notice of Action (797-C) to confirm they received the package, but received the Biometrics appointment letter first asking that she show up at the USCIS office in Tampa on August 28th.

Today, August 18th, we recieved 3 more 797-C notices, receipt of the I-485, receipt of the I-765, and receipt of the I-131. All notices have been come from the National Benefits Center in Missouri. Has anyone had their AOS application sent to Missouri and if so, what can I expect? Will it sit in Missouri for a couple months, then get transferred to that black hole in California?

Thanks!!

It's not really a Service Center like CSC or VSC, it's the National Benefits Center (referred to it as NBC on VJ) and basically, everyone here had their case transferred to NBC after sending their package to The Chicago lockbox. Malagasy answered correctly. :)

Ok thanks Didopage and Malagasy, I had this dream that maybe they were processing AOS applications in Missouri and it would be faster than Cali, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see where her application will go.
