Pennsylvania road crew paints yellow line over dead raccoon

While repainting traffic lines, road crews in Pennsylvania inadvertently laid a fresh coat of yellow paint over an unforeseen obstruction.

A dead raccoon, seen by motorists earlier this week, was caught beneath the paint gun of the crew’s vehicle.

A motorcyclist, Sean McAfee, noticed the coated road kill on his way home from work and took a photo of the flattened critter covered with yellow paint.

“When I saw it, I almost wrecked my motorcycle because I was laughing so hard,” McAfee told The Tribune-Democrat.

A spokesman for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the accident was unavoidable.

It is politics because this was most likely perpetrated by callous union labor.

It is religion because this union labor has now offended Buddhists and other believers of non-violence worldwide.

Now Buddhists will riot all over Asia and will burn Pennsylvania in effigy.

It is a metaphor for the country. A regime every 4 years is expected to make meaningful change but not really. It's like applying some paint over huge issues to make us think all is well.

the backstory to this has a georgia connection.

in 1985 pennsylvania reported 39 rabid animal cases statewide. some georgia game officials that same year reported too many raccoons in atlanta. about 650 raccoons were trapped in atlanta in 1986 and "transported" to pennsylvania. in 1988 650 rabid animal cases were reported in pennsylvania. been that way ever since, allowing for population cycling.
