Could quitting my job sooner affect the consulate's decision?

Hi everybody,

I was wondering if quitting my job before the interview could lead to a K-1 visa denial? I'm going to visit friends abroad and I want to spend some quality time with my family before I leave for the US. The only employment gap I have is from june 2011 until february 2012 (I went to the US twice and spent 6 months with my fiance. 3 months I spent looking for a job in my home country).

Just want to make sure it's a safe thing to do.

It will not cause a denial, but if you don't pass the interview then you will have no visa and no job.

That's ok. My contract will be up in October and I wouldn't want to work that job any longer anyway. Thanks though! :-)

My wife quit her job early and I supported her and it caused no issues.
