VJ people, i've been thinking this issue for how many times.. i'm a filipino citizen, if i will join the US navy and become a US citizen is it possible that i can acquire dual citizenship both for US and Philippines?

You can't join the Navy if you are not at least a US permanent resident.

VJ people, i've been thinking this issue for how many times.. i'm a filipino citizen, if i will join the US navy and become a US citizen is it possible that i can acquire dual citizenship both for US and Philippines?

Here are the few BASIC NAVY REQUIREMENTS:

Age: 17- 34 y/o (under 18 must get parental consent)

Citizenship: must be a U.S. citizen or, if you’re a non-citizen, you may join the Navy if you entered the United States on a permanent residence visa

Financial Obligations: In certain cases, you must prove that you can meet your current financial obligations.

Education: must be a high school graduate, have earned a GED or have met other high school equivalency requirements to enlist in the Navy.

Drug/Alcohol Policy: The Navy has a zero tolerance drug/alcohol policy.

05/25/12 - AOS bill invoiced & paid ($88)
05/29/12 - AOS bill appears as PAID
06/01/12 - IV Bill Invoiced & PAID ($230 x2)
06/04/12 - IV Bill Shows PAID
06/15/12 - AOS & IV Packages sent
07/02/12 - RFE email received
07/06/12 - Sent NSO copy of MC and BC
07/16/12 - Case Complete (2nd Wedding Anniversary)
08/01/12 - Interview Date Assigned -->>>>(Sept.5, 2012@ 6:15am)

He wasn't asking for the requirements. I'm sure he knows that. He was asking if he could keep dual citizenship.

I believe you can't, but I also only heard it from someone. Call your embassy and see what they say. Good luck!!!
