USCIS Fairfax Virginia Oath Ceremony

Hello, I filed my Application for Naturalization in April and had my Interview on August 1, but I got a recommended for approval notice and was told I will be scheduled for an oath ceremony in 45 days. The Fairfax office use to conduct same day oath ceremonies and apparently they now have stopped, has anyone else had an interview at the Fairfax office on or after August 1?

My husband got interview on june 13th ...and he was interviewed...and now he was called for reinterview on sep 6th..he is good ...no arrests..

why they are doing like this we are not understanding...eventhough attorney surprised with our case..

Was he recommended for approval? It should state that on his form N-445.

Search for Fairfax in this forum and you will find others in the same position. Apparently the Fairfax office is having a major push to get people through the interviews and oaths are equally backed up - something to do with the election was the reason hinted at.

You are only 2 weeks since your interview date anyway, nothing to worry about until you're past the 45 days mark, sit tight.

We finally got our oath letter in the mail today. Had to go to InfoPass to shake it out of them! Oath date is almost 8 months after her successful interview. No RFEs but we did a name change. Just in time for Oct. 15th voting registration deadline.
