I've always thought it was in bad taste to use ethnic slurs in an attempt at humor. It is not really funny.

If that was the case, people wouldn't laugh at Borat and his jokes about Jews, Asians, gays and women.

What I posted before was true, a whole huge table full of spanish speaking people. And the service was simply excellent.

Indeed. This is one of those instances where pandering to political correctness becomes completely ridiculous. The name Cracker Barrel had no racial connotations of any kind. Changing the name (whatever it would then be called) would be counter productive as it would politicise something that was never racist to begin with.

Be it resolved on this day on visajourney.com that the eating establishment known as "Cracker Barrel" shall henceforth be know as "Thin crisp wafer or biscuit, usually made of unsweetened dough - cylindrical wooden container with slightly bulging sides made of staves hooped together, and with flat, parallel ends"

The only negative connotation of the name Cracker Barrel was that it was the same as a food product (cheese produced by Kraft Foods) on the market--maybe a possible trademark violation. As I posted earlier, there is a simple resolution--that the restaurant chain should retain its name but should sign a contract with Kraft Foods that it will use Cracker Barrel ONLY for cheese in menu orders.

Definitely not in favour of M&O's obfuscatory reference (which I won't even bother repeating).
