Do I need to send an I-134 (Affidavit of Support) with my I-129F Packet?

I am almost done assembling my I-129F Packet, as I am applying for a K-1 Visa for my foreign-born fiancee. I have my I-129F and my G-325A forms filled out and all the accompanying paperwork ready. Everywhere I look, it says that these are the only two forms that I need to send with my packet.

I am worried, because I was under the impression that I would have to send an I-134 (Affidavit of Support) form and paperwork with my I-129F packet.

Does anyone know if the I-134 is necessary? Is it optional? Should I send one with my I-129F packet just to be on the safe side?

Those are the only 2 required forms, but there are several other documents and pieces of evidence that also need to be included. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

The I-134 does not come into play until after you have an approved I-129F petition. It is needed for the K-1 visa interview.

Yep person above is absolutely right. You will need the I-134 for the interview along with any other supporting documents - such as bank statements, evidence of employment, anything which states annual income. :)

I'm sure you've got everything you need for the I-129F but check on USCIS documents just in case. :)

A dream is a wish your heart makes.
