Well this is day 20 and they were correct we got our case number today. Thank god... I have a question on the DS3032. I finally got a chance to get my name change done but on the I 130 I had not changed it yet under names used I did put my new name as well so what name should he put on the DS3032 my former name and then list me with my married name or just my married or just my former. Thanks... I am so excited I cant believe we have the number... I am so hoping he will be here for the holidays...

You can have your husband email them requesting that you be the choice agent using the name that you filed under. Follow the thread for AUGUST NVC peeps and you will get the format for the email. Then when you get notification of AOS write a cover letter stating your name change and send copies of your new SS card and state id. Include it when you send your I864.

memlaura, are you on the August NVC forum? This is where I would post this question. Are you saying you had your name changed on all your legal documents after you had already file your I-130/I-129F? I would use my real, legal name and if you used maiden on first petitions, send in a letter of explanation stating you had not yet had your name changed when you file the papers but were already married.

NVC changes address and other informatoin to ensure it is correct before forwarding it to the Consulate, I would believe this also applies to name changes. You could also call and confirm with an NVC officer how to go about this, see if there are additional forms you may need to complete, etc. The call would be faster.

Hope this helps!

I'll look for the letter I wrote and sent to NVC. I knew my husband would only call me by his surname during the interview and I didn't want that to be a problem. I have since had some pc issues and I don't know if the pc guy saved all of my documents.
