Hi I am curious if anyone can give some input/knowledge on this. My fiance' got her NBI and CENOMAR quite a few months ago. As we were not expecting any delays aside from the length of time it was taking the fiance visa CSC/NVC etc. we ran into a problem on the medical (sputum testing). Now she says they are close to expiring or they will be close, assuming her test on culture is negative(praying). So my question is it better to just get new ones or will it be ok if they are some months old already since we were all prepared with everything before this unfortunate circumstance. Thanks in advance to any help/answers.

PS to all going through this process. DO NOT PLAN ANYTHING. Your hopes and dreams and plans can be ruined in a blink of an xray. :crying::crying::bonk: ...no, seriously

You've got a couple of months to wait now, so I personally would get new ones, just in case. No sense in getting to the interview and having them be 2 days past the expiration date, eh?

The NBI is good only for one year and she had to get another one. Estimate when these things are going to be okay and get a new one a month or two before the one year expires. The CENOMAR has no expiration but since it only costs less than $10 to get a new one, it is not a bad idea to get a new one, rather than get turned down for having a year old CENOMAR. A lot of things can happen in one year, and you both do not want to be heartbroken only because of a piece of paper.
