I got an RFE after waiting for 7.5 months for a response on my i-130

The RFE asked for items such as pictures of the wedding ceremony ( I sent over 800 with my application) and even asked me to explain why we both got married so soon after we both were divorced! I sent a ridiculous amount of evidence and since we filed for the I-130 after a failed K1, our timeline and evidence included all that ( which I sent again with the new application)

Or in other words someone completely ###### up and either mixed up the RFE notices, our casefiles or something.

Has anyone experience similar mess-ups? I called a tier 2 and she filed a service request for me and I also sent in most of the old info and some new pictures from a trip I got back from on the day I recieved this damn RFE.

a bit of social engineering for you.. at USCIS

call back, get an ISO again,

and...

mention that fact that you submitted 800 photos with the application, and that the adjudicator never reviewed the 800 photos.

REQUEST that the ISO REQUEST that the adjudicator make the effort to FIND the photos...

then make the request that the ISO REQUEST that the adjudicator review the 800 photos.

NO SERVICE REQUEST REQUIRED - instead - yer requesting the ISO to REQUEST that the adjudicator find the rest of the casefile, as something has fallen on the floor.

Be Patient, use a telephone, speak in a clear voice, complete sentences.

I usually calm down if I get a good person to talk to.

I did call again. It seems like it could be a random security check coupled to an error ( the divorce) . Sometimes they ask people for the same evidence regardless.

So my RFE response is due in 60 Days ( wants to kill)

and My service request is due in 1 week

With any luck this will work in my favor, but they could just as easily just spit out the RFE receipt letter a second time for the service request.

They didn't say that. The guy told me that sometimes they send out RFEs randomly even if they have all the information. Like a random security check. I think it is extremeley unethical to do such a thing when you already missed the stated 5 month guideline by 6 weeks, but who knows.

Regardless it's finally over. NOA2 is in the mail after 7months and 2days!
