Hi guys,

I have a couple of questions regarding the supporting documents to go along with the i-134

1.) My fiance sent me a customer copy of 1040A the one that he got from an accountant,is that okay?

2.) He only gave me his ITR for 2011 and form W-2 for 2011, is that okay or does he need to send more from other years? Just a back story, he has been a student the past couple of years and has been supported by his family. If he could not produce one for the past years would that set us back and can cause for us to get denied?

3.) He did not send me pay stubs, bank statements and employment certification, again, will this cause us to get denied?

4.) Has anyone here got denied because they only have 1040A and W2 for 1 year?

Please let me know if there is a chance that we will get denied because of only having 1040A and W2 for just 1 year. My interview is coming up this Aug 14. I hope to be able to get things done well before that day.

I would not take this chance.....It is NOT mandatory to have previous years for 2010 and 2009. But at least have your fiancee put together a more complete financial showing. Tax transcript for 2011, w-2's, most current pay stubs, emplyment letter, bank statements. You still have plenty of time before your interview to get a more complete financial showing.

He sent me a tax transcript for 2011 and w2 for 2011. I will ask him to send me pay stubs and employment letter and bank statements. But has there ever been a time when someone who only showed w2 and tax transcript got approved/denied?

you can look at this thread

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/377236-proof-of-income-for-self-employed/page__st__15

there are manuals which says what is required and what is not and in which case, basically w2 needed if you have copy of 1040 but not required if you have tax transcript since all that info already in that transcript, it also does not require bank statements if income alone is over poverty line, employment letter can be used or not depends on the income in tax info.

If he is self-employed then all he would need to show is a complete copy of his tax return, or past 3 years if Manila likes to see all 3. His current income would be what is on line 22 of the 2011 1040 form. However, if he is employed, he needs to show proof of his current income and his 2011 taxes do not show that. A letter from employer and/or most recent pay stub(s) is what he needs to show that his current income meets the 125% requirement for his household size plus you.
