I didn't file for the EAD when we filed for the AOS back in February. At this point should I just wait for the AOS to come in (hopefully within a month or two) or should I file for the EAD so I can go ahead and work. I know it takes about two months to get as well...

You can file now, but to avoid paying the $380.00 fee, you have to submit a copy of your I-485 NOA receipt with the application.

You can file now. Include the NOA1 from your AOS application so that they'll waive the fee. I'm not sure if you'd get it before your AOS gets approved, though. EAD takes about 2-3 months from filing, it seems.

Gosh I feel so stupid... We didn't file because we thought it was $380 not free when filing for AOS.... guess that's what you get when you don't get a lawyer or apparently not pay attention. Whoops. Thanks everyone for the help!
