For those who have recently scheduled their interview at the US Embassy for the K1 visa, within how many weeks from the time the consulate receives the package from NVC can we schedule an interview? I kinda need to speed things up. I already have my birth certificate, NBI clearance, Cenomar etc in hand. I know I need to have my medical done at Saint Luke's so how quickly can I set an appointment for that as well?

Is it at all possible for me to have my US embassy interview 2 weeks from the time they receive our approved petition from NVC? Or is that too tight a schedule?

The reason I'm rushing is we're hoping to make it to our church wedding in the Philippines as soon as possible after our civil wedding in the States (given the time it takes to apply for advanced parole and AOS).

Thanks guys! =) God bless to all the hopefuls and to those who are already with their loved ones! =)

Manila Embassy:

After NOA2 AND YOU HAVE YOUR MNL #

(don't need to wait for the letter from the embassy )

Once you have your MNL # you can take your passport and required visa fee (in Php) to BPI and pay your visa fee. The embassy website states that within 4 hours of paying at BPI you can schedule your interview appointment but most times it seems to take about 24 hours.

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-paymentinfo.asp

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to include the "XX" at the beginning of the passport number, your passport number IS your receipt number (normally).

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 1 was accepted.

Make sure to print two copies of the interview confirmation page as you will need one for St. Luke's and the other for the embassy.

(open all of these links then save them to your bookmarks so you have them for easy access)

St. Luke's:http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#required-docs

Have copies of passport bio page, confirmation page from scheduling interview online at embassy, and of course the 2X2 photos. (copy of annulment is asked for at times)

http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

Preregister at St. Luke's, it saves time when you arrive.

CFO: ALL exiting required to attend. Things have changed with CFO, for sure follow the link and read the website

http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1348:fiancee-spouses-and-other-partners-of-foreign-nationals&catid=140#ThirdA

Required documents & "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO: copies of; CENOMAR, certified birth certificate, bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together, from USC - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.

** From the Family Code of the Philippines: it's 21-25 years old for advice and 18-21 years old for consent.

Such consent shall be manifested in writing by the interested party, who personally appears before the proper local civil registrar, or in the form of an affidavit made in the presence of two witnesses and attested before any official authorized by law to administer oaths. The personal manifestation shall be recorded in both applications for marriage license, and the affidavit, if one is executed instead, shall be attached to said applications. (61a)

Art. 15. Any contracting party between the age of twenty-one and twenty-five shall be obliged to ask their parents or guardian for advice upon the intended marriage. If they do not obtain such advice, or if it be unfavorable, the marriage license shall not be issued till after three months following the completion of the publication of the application therefor.A sworn statement by the contracting parties to the effect that such advice has been sought, together with the written advice given, if any, shall be attached to the application for marriage license. BTW... a wedding is a wedding, the embassy in any way shape or form gets wind of your "church wedding" and the K-1 is out the window.

And even though I posted some info for you, two weeks from NVC notice IS pushing it, I am not even sure you could get an opening to schedule the interview that quickly, not saying it couldn't happen but cross your toes.

After you call the NVC and get your MNL case number, then pay the visa fee at BPI. Once you have paid the visa fee at BPI, then you can try every day to schedule your interview. When the system allows you to schedule an interview, it's highly likely that you will see the soonest appointments will be at least three or four weeks out.

St. Lukes does not make appointments for medicals. They operate on a walk-in basis only. You can pre-register on their website in order to save time on the day of your medical. You can use your interview appointment printout to be admitted to the medical. Also, many people report that you only need your MNL case number to be admitted to the medical. Some people even claim they were admitted to the medical by simply using their NOA petition approval letter.

As the other posters said, when you are at your Embassy interview, don't mention anything about a wedding in the Philippines.

We just completed it in a week and half. It can be done Private message us with qustions

Wasn't your petition expedited for medical reasons? Are you suggesting that the OP do the same?

If so, do you realize that material misrepresentation by the OP could result in the OP being banned from the U.S.?
