The three members of the band were sentenced today to two years. I don't think anyone is going to say Putin is soft on crime.

Two of the three are mothers but if the court took that into consideration, it was only to reduce the sentence from a possible three years to only two.

Nope, none of this is good for the Russian government, their justice system (?) and the church. They have regressed many years in the rest of the world's eyes.

Obviously Putin wants to build walls and not relationships.

Why do we feel the need to impose our loose sense of morality and justice on other countries. It's not like they decapitated them or branded them. Here rapists get probation to 3 years. Who has the problem? I'm really not religious but it's not my country, culture or religion.

I take back everything said and insinuated. After my wife investigated these hooligans, their past brands them correctly at hooligans who should have had a stricter sentence imposed. Do the investigation and you'll see that they were correctly sentenced.

My wife also just returned from Russia and she said Madonna has actively supported these women in their fight against the system. I guess two of them recently fled Russia and it seems Madonna is behind it.
