I've called the NVC to find out that they have not received my petition. So I then called the 800 number that was posted on my NOA2. I could not verify if the CSC had already sent out my petition and if so when. Someone told me to write a letter to CSC? mmm..doesn't sound good. I rather call to get a quicker response. Does anyone out there have the CSC phone number? Thanks.

it is not uncommon for there not to be any info about your petition when calling NVC. it could be there, just not in the system. you may not get any info on your peition when calling NVC till the case number is assigned.

There is no way to contact CSC by phone and it wouldn't be worth the effort to send a letter. By the time they respond, your case will be at the consulate. Instead, send an email to the NVC and ask about the status of your petition and give them 4 weeks from your NOA2 date as they have been very slow lately.

NVCINQUIRY@state.gov - put your CSC case number in the subject line.

Wait till you get the noticed via mail from CIS of your NOA2. If you got the noticed then wait for 2-4 weeks before calling NVC.

I got my NOA2 on 9-18-06, and the CSC did not ship my case to the NVC till 10-13-06. So don't stress out it is going to time so all you can is sit back and wait, and call the NVC on and off.

Mine nearly took the entire four weeks to leave the CSC to the NVC.

The Average wait time before your case will even leave the CSC shipping department is going to be about 3-4 weeks of your NOA2 notice. Some people have had to wait six weeks!!

hope this helps..
