Why do you guys think that when I called Ciudad Juarez.....they guy told me that the letter would be sent to my gf in mexico. He said that the system was showing that......so does that mean I will not get one here in the U.S.? I told him that the mail in Mexico is sloooooooow and he didnt seem to care or know.

Thanks everyone,

I think he is wrong in my case as well as Chinman and Genny we all received the letter in the US first.

Don't worry....

Yeah, I guess we just have to wait and see. He did say, however, that it would be sent either in 10 days or that it would take 10 days to deliver (I couldn't remember what that was).

How long did it take you guys to receive the letter in the U.S. after it was sent from Ciudad Juarez (after processing)?

Thanks,

Isi,

Hi how is the US treating you? No, no news I called DOS today and they said Juarez is still processing :crying: . I figured either tomorrow or sometime next will I will call Juarez and see what they tell me.

Quick question how did you fill out question #11 on I-134? I looked at the example here but I wanted to make sure people who have went to Juarez did the same thing.

My bf filled that form and he signed INTEND and then he just write PLANNING TO GET MARRIED ... hope this helps.

Congrats Chinman and Ale on getting your visa in hand.

Roberto got his tickets to the US last night and he will arrive here on Nov 2nd with POE in Houston.

Yipppeee! The long wait is almost over. We are probably going to get married in the courthouse here

in town and have a ceremony with the family on Xmas Eve.

Okay guys.....9 days and counting....the anxiety is killing me. Trying to remain relaxed. I keep thinking "what if I forget something"? I've gone over all the paperwork several times and I'm am absolutely positive a thousand more times before leaving next Sunday. Urggg!! I know I have everything...and everything in order....I just feel like I am missing something.

Luis was in the army in Mexico and now I am worried that will somehow impact something. Any advice here? Has anyone had a SO in the military in Mexico? Don't really see how it would hurt. Just asking.

Sandi,

You guys are gonna do great.

Roberto was in the army too in Mexico. It is very common there. They didn't even ask him a question about it.

Of course he mentioned his service on the DS I-157

http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/79964.pdf

But they never asked him about it.

I am very excited for you both. Your long wait is almost over.

I felt the same exact way. I had a checklist of all the paperwork we needed and I still kept thinking I forgot something. When I got to Mexico my SO asked if I had brought a certain outfit and I that is when I realized that that was what I had forgotten, lol

Everything will be fine :)

6 days and counting...suddenly I am very calm...maybe it's the calm before the storm. Trying to get things together now...ie: clothes and things like that...I am wondering if I should take my laptop with me...just so I can have it in the hotel room with me...I think I read on their website that there is WIFI. If anyone knows let me know.
