I am a US citizen and have applied for a I-130 visa for my husband who lives in Morocco... we met online 2 years ago.... one year ago I travelled to Morocco... where we were married, and when I returned I filed for his Visa. It was approved here in the US, and sent to Morocco in January 2012... he was scheduled for a interview on Feb 29, 2012... when he went for the interview... we expected him to get apprpved but was asked how we met, where we met... something about my tax forms that were sent in... and told "thank you for coming, your papers will be sent back to the USA... :(

The papers left Morocco on March 1, 2012... I was told that in 60 to 90 days we would be notified of the status of our application. I have never heard a word, as yet> I called a number I got off the internet for the status of the diplomatic pouch and was told that the papers arrived and were sent to Immigration.. which I assume is USCIS... ive called the Visa Center in Vermont... the papers are not there.. I called USCIS and they do not have the papers...FInally got to speak to someone last week and they are going to search to see where the application has been sent..

At one point I was told that the date of expiration for our application which was June 30, 2012 would not apply as once they get the papers, the date is extended to the new arrival date.. I pray that this is true.

So now I have to wait for 15 days to hear something and if not... on the 16th day, I was told to call back if I do not hear anything..

I returned to Morocco thinking the Visa would be approved back in March, and we were all very distraught that the papers were sent back.. I am heartbroken that I cannot have my husband here with me.. and it is very painful to be put through this process. I guess this happens to quite a lot of people...Im praying that they will not tell me we need to reapply or that my husband cannot join me here in the USA..

Agree with above. You can also look in the MENA forum on here and read about others who have been through the same type of situation in Casablanca. There are women who have posted in MENA who have responded to the NOIR sucessfully, and have their husband here now.

Casablanca is typically a different consulate to get approval, especially if there are "red flags" involved in the case/relationship.
