So are there any more fees? Is there any fees for the Medical or any other application. Didn't look like it but just wanted to ask...

Also during AOS, is the fee just $325 or are there going to be supplements we have to pay for? Just trying to figure out what we need to save by then.

Looks like the visa fee is 65 pounds and the police certificate is 10 pounds. It does not list the medical fee.

Thanks. Sorry I was a little snappy. Just getting tired of all the information directions that lead to nowhere from the CSC, now I seem to not be able to find anything, even the obvious stuff. Nerves are shot. lol

I spotted

Cost of Medical Exam? £160

List of doctors? Knightsbridge Doctors in London is the sole contractor for Embassy medicals for 2006. Instructions on how to schedule an appointment there are included with packet 3.

My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

I entered the US on a K-1, had my interview at the US Embassy in London just a bit over a year ago. There isn’t any shortage of fee’s, hidden fees and buried rules no one knows about till it’s too late.

From memory the fee’s I paid last year during my K-1 were:

Initial K-1 Application $165.00

New Scotland Yard Police Report £10.00

Certificates of Conviction x4 £44.00

Medical in Edinburgh £179.00

Embassy Interview Fee £60.00

I’m aware something’s may have changed since I went through my K-1 and the above totals don’t account for the inhumane travel expenses encountered traveling from N Ireland to Britain.

After paying for the above and the associated travel expenses lets not forget the expenses in moving from one country to another. Next you get to look forward to paying for AOS, EAD and AP if they are required and of course being unemployed for around 3 months or more.

Adjustment of Status (I-485) $325.00

Biometrics (Required) $70.00

EAD (I-765) $180.00

Advance Parole (I-131) $170.00

Medical Supplement $50.00

The only big hidden rule I’ve found so far is the mail box rule. Make sure you’re last name is on the outside or the inside of you’re mail box, inform you’re local post office of who you are and where you live. USPS was nice enough to return my EAD to USCIS for not having my name on the mail box, even though all other mail from USCIS was delivered without any problems. If that had of been an RFE or an AOS appointment notice and went unchecked we’d be in a lot of trouble. Luckily for us we check our case online.

Good Luck!
