For tax purposes it is not included as taxable income. Therefore it won't show up in your taxes. Did you have other income and did you file taxes for the previous 3 tax years claiming other income?

yes you can.. my husband's income consisted of SSD and VA benefit and that's it.. his income is non-taxable, so he never did file taxes since he wasn't really required to. i just wrote an explanation, telling them why he hasn't filed and everything went fine, so yeah, you can use it as an income.

Yes, I have filed the past three years, other income was very minimal, less then 5000.00
