I saw this posted at this forum

"Required documents from the petitioner for I-864 Affidavit of Support Package

Last 3 years IRS Tax Transcripts (otherwise, last 3 years 1040 and W-2/1099)

Original Employment Letter Pay stubs (include a few recent ones and a selection from throughout the previous 3 years)

All of the above from any joint sponsors"

My question is - do we need the ORIGINAL EMPLOYMENT LETTER"? HR scanned and sent me a copy this morning. Should I ask for the original?

also verificatio of deposits from banks, are those needed to be ORIGINAL as well? Would the copies work?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

My USC husband didn't send the original company letter because it couldn't make it on time. I brought the original to the interview. I suggest to send in the original though if you could to avoid a possible RFE because every case is different. For paystubs, we never turned in originals. Only scanned coppies were sent.

wait a mo.

if you are doing Electronic Processing at NVC, then a scan is sufficient.

Cause you'll be emailing that scan into NVC.

Please look into OPTING IN for EP - it's a timesaver after NVC is finished with the document intake.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
