Hey vjers hope everyone is doing fine. Here is my question. Do you think it is wise to buy my ticket before the interview because i have the day i want to leave and there are some reasonal prices for that day and i dont want them to be sold out by time i am ready to purchase it. So please give me your advise...Thanking yall in advance.....Have a good day (L)

I wouldn't buy the tickets ahead unless they were tickets that were refundable. In dealing with these immigration people you learn nothing is ever certain with them. I wish you the best luck on the interview. I so can't wait for our day to come. :)

It is not recommended to make any travels plan till visa is approved and in your hand. First of all you have no idea on the outcome of your interview. Even if approved it may take 7-10 days to get passport back. There are many situations, when you can be put into AP or CO may request additional documentation.

So I would highly suggest not to do that, unless the tickets are fully reimbursable and no penalty for changing dates, which I doubt.

I bought the tickets for my fiancée before the interview. But I bought tickets I could change the date on with a small fee. I didn't even consider she would not eventually pass the interview, as they were nonrefundable. I almost had to reschedule the date as the visa just barely arrived in time, which would have meant throwing away in domestic tickets in the Philippines, but those were cheap. Sounds like you're doing it to save money, I was partly to, but more than anything it was to get her here as soon as possible. Don't buy the tickets unless you're willing to put the money for the tickets at risk. Its a gamble.

Hey girl your time is almost here! So excited for you! Dont buy his ticket. Even when he gets approved you cant time when the actual visa will be in his hand. Play it safe. Look what happend to Shawna. Boy I wish I was in Jamaica to celebrate with you. Ya know I have always enjoyed your posts!
