Call history and chat log

Hi guys!

I don't know if it's needed or not, nor do I know if it's a good idea, but I thought I would print the call history and chat log that my wife and I have amassed. My old iMac crashed January 2011 so I don't have anything older than say February 2011 (we started chatting on MSN back in 2008 and started using Skype early 2010 I think) but I have records of all our calls and chats since then, Feb 2011 that is. (I also have some on my work laptop.)

I found a somewhat easy way to get the call history on Skype printed (i screen captured the call history log and printed it - it lists when a call started, when it ended, how long it lasted and on what date the conversation took place).

I'm a little more unsure of MSN though (or Adium as the Mac version is called that I have). Is it enough to print the log of all our chats or should I print the actual chats too?

Is this even a good idea in the first place? My wife and I have no joint bank accounts and don't own property together or anything like that (we've never actually lived together), but I have letters she has written me, birthdays cards, pictures of the two of us from the three times we've been together and met in person, ticket from a baseball game, you know, stuff like that. I get the idea people here do use chat history and such as secondary evidence that they are in a real relationship with their significant other, and chatting and skyping is definitely the main communication channel that my wife and I use, so I figured "why not", you know...

I would appreciate your input. Keep on rocking!

For some chat/call history is a primary source to prove the relationship. It seems secondary in your case. You don't have to print all of them, but printing 1-3 from each month will still help you in the long run.

My husband and I didn't have any chat logs after Aug 2011. I sent what we had at the NVC stage. Our logs were read (read our embassy review).

What about Facebook? We have a PM thread that's miles and miles long (goes back to when we first started chatting in 2008).

And thanks for your tips. I appreciate it. B-)

I didn't have to show any evidence what so ever at the interview, and all I was asked was how we met, what our wedding was like and how many times my husband has been to visit me in sweden. We did send in some pics with I-130 and a letter telling them "our story" that was it. I don't think fraud is something they worry about when you move from sweden to america since we leave a country with better wellfare than what we will get over there.

You have alot. Pick what you want to send. If your FB shows the start of the relationship send that to NVC. I sent the full 1st month of our yahoo and 1-2 from subsequent months. I printed everyday we chatted and gave to hubby for the interview. He wasn't asked for any of it.

No, as a Swedish citizen you're not going to have a problem convincing the Embassy of a bona fide relationship. I brought a ton of stuff with me to the interview, didn't have to show anything. The officer spent most of her time scolding me for not having done the medical in advance (someone had given me the wrong information) and now I would have to delay my trip another week.
