I sent in my fiancee application about six weeks ago. I am waiting for the first Notice of Action. I thought it would be here by now. Is there reason be nervous that it has taken six seeks and counting and I still have not received the NOA 1?

I know that it is required to give them a record of transactions over a certain period from your bank. But aside from a standard bank balance statement or activity record the bank doesn't seem to know what I am asking for. I'm not entirely clear on it either. Is there some special term or designation or any other information that would help me make it clearer to the bank what I need from them and how they can provide it?

Thanks.

As I asked in the other thread you started with the exact same topic .. has your check been cashed?

Also, it is absolutely not necessary to show a record of transactions from your bank. Are you talking about the interview stage and affidavit of support? If the petitioner (don't know which one you are) meets income requirements, things like bank statements don't matter.

I only posted once. There was a weird glitch when I posted but that was the site not me. I am the petitioner. In previous breakdowns of required documents, perhaps things are changed, and in my big guidebook about fiancee visa obtaining a special kind of bank statement was necessary and much angst was expressed about the time that banks typically took to fulfill this requirement. If this is no longer the case then I am certainly relieved not to have to worry about this issue.

As for the check clearing I can go online and see if my bank has records of my checks. I've never checked before. If there was a problem and they didn't cash the check for some reason wouldn't they notify me and inform as to the nature of the problem?

A special kind of bank statement? I'm not sure what guidebook you're looking at. Do you, as the petitioner, meet the income requirements for the I-134? If so, don't worry about bank statements.

Definitely check and see if the money's cleared out of your account.

I sent our I129F in May 30th. My check cleared my bank in 6 business days from mailing my packet.. I then received a txt and email informing me my case was sent to Vermont Processing Center.. Where it still sits as of this weekend. I can't ask for more than it sitting there for just 3 weeks....

I did get the e-mail and notice that it was going to the processing center. Perhaps that was the Notice of Action but it didn't look like the sample forms i had been shown? I have no doubt that it is being processed. I'm getting a lot of questions from her family both here and there about the progress. I think I just need to relax and accept that it will take as long as it will take. My fiancee is in Bohol too BTW.

Yeah everyone needs to relax... We have a long way to go.. Tell them that it will be around Xmas just to be safe. Barring no RFE's it should be around end of NOvember. Take the date you first received information that your package was accepted and add up to 180 days.. That should be your interview date. If we get no RFE's then Dec 6th is a good date for interview.... Hope it helps.... Good luck

THE USICS is also experiencing delays in sending NOA1 from what I read. I would expect the official letter within 30days from filing. I hope

Thank you, good advice, good information. I'll try to calm everyone down.

you already got noa1 saying which Service Center they forwarded your docs, now wait 3 to 5 months or 6 months before you get the noa2 :) and if they already in cash your check it means they already started the process, and the bank records she'll need it on her interview. together with your 1040 w2 and some financial records.
