I have submitted my application for a B1/B2 visa and will be booking my interview shortly. Upon reviewing the application, i realised that i had included the wrong year that i started university and omitted a job that i had for 2 months. I am wondering whether it would be a good idea to bring this up at the interview and also provide evidence of the actual dates and the job? Its nothing major and everything else should be in order.

The application only asked for a me to bring a passport and any supporting evidence. I will be taking my passport, diploma from the university, a police certificate, birth certificate, flight schedules, proof of address, driving license, and proof of current + past jobs.

I am pretty confident that this will cover everything, but i wanted to see what others opinions are as well.

On more question, once an application has been submitted online are you immediately eligible to contact your country's US embassy for interview? Regarding payment, is it taken at the embassy prior to the interview on the day?

Thanks

Why are you not eligible to use the VWP?

After the application is submitted, you should be able to schedule an interview online.

As far as minor mistakes on the application, you should be fine correcting that at the interview IMO. Anyone can make a mistake like that.
