Embassy Response email/Ploice cert.

I just received an email response from the Senegal embassy in regards

to my inquiry if police certificates are needed from Sierra Leone.

I saw Sierra Leone listed as " police certificates not available, do not attempt

to get one".

The previous police chief in my fiance's town said yes he has now been

replaced with another chief who said they are not done there.

So I wanted to verify with the embassy who replied a two sentence email word for word :

They are not mandatory but if you can get one would be helpful. Many applicants

do submit them.

If many applicants submit them and they are "helpful" how can my fiance get it if the chief

of police remains unwilling to supply it and said it is not done there !!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they are not mandatory or simply unavailable then that is how you proceed. Don't blow a blood vessel worrying about something not in your control.
