sveta has given her 2-3 week notice at work and once she not working what can she get done till we get noa2? she has come along way since we meet we now talk hours on phone and skype and she has english teacher 2-3 times aweek how long is police records good for? i hope she will be able use this time off to prepair for interview and she will update the binder i left her in may with over 40 photos also if anyone will be near cherkassy in august let me know as i will be with her month of august and we are going have a nice enagement/going away party if anyone wants join

Ask her to study the K-1 flowchart here at VJ, then go over the K-1 flowchart with you. IMO, that's one of the better things to do when one isn't working - STUDY the flow of process, understand the steps, and understand about what a Visa Applicant can do in actually filling out the Visa Application Forms.

I get this sense you might have been 'off' on timing of getting police clearance certificates.

Hey Ron. I was wondering the same thing about the police certificate. Julia got hers back in March when the NOA2s were coming a little faster. She called the police department to ask about the validity, and they told her something about it expiring in 3 months (July 23rd for us) However, the KEV instructions from the embassy website say something about police certificates being valid for one year. I asked in our regional forum and they confirmed it. I had emailed my lawyer Friday, and I think he will probably have the same response. So hopefully one year is accurate.

the kiev consulate website says it is good for 1 year (but someone in RUB forum or consulate review said they were switching to 6 month, i don't know?? last i read on official site was 1 year). ron, don't wait too long. lidia went to get in march and they told her to come pick it up in 1 month. then she went back a month later and they knew nothing about it, so she put in request again and they told her to pay money or come back in 1 month. We were in no hurry, so 1 month later she had it. (may 23)... 2 months after initial request.
