What should I put on my application N-400 part 10. "Have you ever committed a crime or offense for which you were not arrested? On 2009 I was charged with Furnish Alcohol to Minor at a surprise party my friends had at my house but I was 19 and it didn't make any sense so the charges were dropped and the outcome was NOLLE PROSEQUI. I only paid some court fees and went to an alcohol and drug course (witch I don't understand because I didn't drink that night, but anyways). I sent all the paperwork with my application, but now I'm just confuse because I didn't commit a crime, It just that the cops showed up at the party and since there were minors drinking and it was my house I got that charged. I didn't get arrested I just got cited to go to court and payed the fees.

For this question you say NO. They actually want to know if you committed a crime and got away with it.

For the other question where it asks if you were cited, you say YES.

Ok unfortunately I checked Yes for that question and I already sent the application. Do you know if there is any way to change it or to clarify I made a mistake?

i think you should go to the court house and get a copy or letter that there was no charges it was dismissed, bring that to the interview.if you say yes on part 10 you need to attach a letter to explain why detained and cited.be on the safe side tell the truth your not hideing anything. you will be fine. good luck

Thank you I actually sent all the paperwork already with my application. I hope they don't think I'm laying about committing a crime and not getting arrested. I'm just so nervous because is a big step for me to get my citizenship. I haven't seen my family in 10 years and I just can't wait anymore. I hope the process doesn't stop or gets suspended because of my stupid mistake
