Our case has been approved september 26th.

Until now we did not get any informations about our case.

My fiance called the NVC yesterday but they did not receive our case yet (after 2 weeks).

I would like to call the NVC, is it possible to call them at the weekends too?

It is so frustrating not to know how much longer it will take until the case will be forwarded to the embassy.

We are waiting for the note of NVC that they have forwarded the case to the embassy so my fiance will

send me the documents I need for package 3 and 4 (since the date should be close to the interview date).

Can anybody tell me what in the world take them so long??

Do not call NVC to check the status because they dont really add in their database the cases they are forwarding to the embassy. NVC is nothing but a warehouse from where the petitions will be forwarded to proper destination. My case was approved on February 06 and I called today to double check. NVC has no record of my item. I called NVC at that point too , in february , and the same message. If you case has been approved it shouldnt take more then 4 weeks to receive the yellow envelope from US embassy in ur country.

hope this will help

yes, don't despair. I emailed NVC a few weeks after were aproved, got a reply that they didn't have the case, and in the meantime the case must have been on it's way to the Embassy here, cos a few days later i got Packet 3.

Just because NVC doesn't register your case, it doesn't mean they don't have it there or it's lost.

And here's another take on it. Mine is at NVC and has been issued a number. However, this is a recent email I received:

"Good afternoon,

Your inquiry has been received at the NVC. As part of the aftermath of the events of September 11, 2001, there are additional security check requirements for visa applicants. While it is not possible to predict when the clearances for this case will be finished by all involved Washington agencies, please be assured that as soon as the results are received, the case file will be forwarded to the appropriate US Embassy or Consulate General."

So, it's anybody's guess on how long it gets hung up at NVC because of more security checks.

Also, remember if you'rs says in "Administrative Review," it can mean anything. It's just a broad term they use that means they might be checking a date or something, or, it might mean nothing at all. ;)
