Don't know about you but I pay a boatload of taxes to finance the venues of the socialist sport franchises. It's not like they pay for their stadiums. They just take the cash they generate and stick the bill for the build and upkeep of the facility to the taxpayer. Suppose I could move out into the woods where there is no sports franchise stadium to pay for but short of that, I don't see what choice I have to donate to these businesses.

On the whole you have a point, though I am sure bean counters can show a net increase in taxes by the revenue these sports teams generate, but I think these ventures should be left to private enterprise.

Come to think of it we have one of these city financed boon-doggles here in Charlotte, the NASCAR HALL OF FAME. The thing has never been in the red and I doubt it ever will.

The fact that you get to decide whether or not you directly support the NFL does not change the fact that revenue sharing is a socialist concept and the NFL can only do it because the U.S. government has granted them an exemption from the Sherman Act.
