If my fiance and me have the same last name but arent related at all would it affect the process?

Welcome to the forum.

It shouldn't be a problem, as long as you have proper documentation. Though be prepared for the question to be asked, therefore you should have a good truthful answer.

Be prepared to be drilled about it. I've seen this before and they usually give these people a hard time because DR is a high fraud country so they might think you guys are cousins. Take lots of documentation to be safe. I wish you much luck!

It should not be a problem, as long as , as you say you are not related. Make sure you can prove you are not related though for "just in case"!

I mean we arent family at all i came to meet him was about two years ago... I asked my dad if there was anyway me and fiance are family and he said no because i only have one aunt left in Dominican Republic and she has no kids... We sent both of our birth certificates... I pray to god everything turns out good
