I'm so sorry, but this is quite normal for the consulates to do if they doubt that your relationship is real. They can't actually deny the visa, only approve or send back to USCIS for further review. Usually, by the time it reaches the USCIS, the K-1 is expired. When a K-1 isn't approved, they just simply let it expire and you have to start all over.

There is nothing really you can do, except start over. In your case, I would try to figure out exactly what went wrong at the interview, and why your visa wasn't approved. Do you have any red flags? What country are you from? Big age gap? Big cultural differences? Have you only met on limited occations? Maybe even only one time? Overall an "unlikely" relationship?

You may actually want to get married, and refile an I-130 for a CR-1 visa.

You may think it's "stupid" and a "waste of time" but if you want to ever live in the US with your fiancee, it is very important that you understand why your visa wasn't approved.

Get married and do the CR1. I had to do it.

It's not necessarily red flags it's just idiots who are overworked and under-qualified to be making such life altering decisions based on a few minute interview and a cursory glance at some paperwork.

What country?

Depending on the consulate, the combination of previously having been engaged to an American and filing a petition, coupled with a screen name that suggests you're looking for love online I guess could mean they think you're just looking for American women online for a green card. I don't know. Is there an age difference? How many times have you met her?

Re-filing, or getting married and filing an I-130 may give you another interview, but it won't fix the reason you weren't approved the first time. You need to look at your red flags and be prepared for them. Also, you need to fid any and all piece of evidence you can that proves your relationship is real.
