:goofy: Nope, no interview letter. Did you get yours first via text message/email or regular mail? Do you/have you also checked the online status site to see if they update that before/after you receive texts/emails? I'm obviously ancy about this. Ha ha. :goofy:

Yes I got an email saying that they sent me the notice, have you signed up online for texts/emails? My online status hasn't been updated since they sent the notice. New Orleans is a very very very slow office, I don't expect to hear anything for a while.

When I checked just now under ASC's I see Mobile uses Metairie. My biometrics appointment was sent out about 4 weeks after my NOA1 and we had about 4 weeks notice of having to go there. Unfortunately that means you may be waiting a little longer for your notice. They really struggle at that office, it is always slow.

:goofy: Hey Rocks - I don't know if you read my other post yet but Keith got his biometrics letter today for Metairie. I was telling him what you told me about getting close to the window, get the form filled out fast after they call all the 1 o'clocks, and turn it in fast to be one of the first to be called. I am hoping since his appointment is 1:00 maybe his group will be first after lunch but maybe they don't take lunch and just have someone there all the time but Keith asked if there was just one window so he would know to get a seat near the correct one. Thanks! :goofy:

I don't think they take lunch. My ROC biometrics were at 12pm, Naturalization biometrics were at 11am. By 1pm they should have completed all of the 12 o'clock appointments. If they haven't they will still call 1pm appointments to the window but you will just have to wait to do the actual biometrics. I get very bored and study these things when I'm there.

When you arrive you will go through security, they will look at your appointment letter and tell you to go to the end window. There's only one place. There are a lot of chairs near it. We got there around 11.30 so 12 o'clock were still sitting in seats waiting. Once they left we moved to a closer seat. I was desperate to get out of there as soon as possible after the long drive there! I'm sure you will be too. They will yell from the window for 1pm appointments around 1pm, so be there a little early. You can always sit and admire the view of the road

:goofy: Keith's biometrics letter does state that due to limited space, only the applicant can come in unless they need help with forms or an interpreter. This means I have to sit out in the car. Is the parking in a decent area? Is it a lot or a parking deck? We Google Earth'd the address so I see it is a tall building. I couldn't tell if there was a parking deck in the bottom of the building or not. :goofy:

Does it? On mine it says:

"Due to limited seating availability in our lobby ares, only persons who are necessary to assist with transportation or completing the fingerprint worksheet should accompany you."

I have only seen a couple of people go there on their own. My husband comes with me every time, it's never an issue. Are you sure your husband's doesn't say that? It also says no recording devices but everyone seems to bring in their cell phones.

There is a parking garage, I don't know if I would call it decent. There should be enough space on the upper levels, make sure you get there 30 minutes early so you can find a space etc. Don't park in the 30 minute spaces on the lower level, you will be there for longer than 30 minutes.

:goofy: Actually yes, his says the same. I was trying to recall it by my memory, obviously that didn't work well - ha. Keith actually read it to me last night and I didn't read it myself until now. But I didn't think I was "necessary" but I will try to go in anyhow since you say your hubby has and you have seen others who have. :goofy:

They won't question it, I promise you. They don't know if you drove him there or not. Maybe he needs you to drive back so he doesn't get tired. ;) They're really not that strict about that there, it is just waiting until your hour is called that they are strict on. Plus, who wants to sit in the car when you can sit on the really uncomfortable seats! At least they have air conditioning. ;)

Hi, I am due to have my interview in Atlanta at 07:15 on December 3 but am unable to find out if the same day oath ceremony is currently available or under what circumstances. I notice from your timeline that you did get the same day interview - is this common or because you traveled from Mobile? I have a four hour car journey to Atlanta and therefore need to stay there the night before the interview due to the early appointment; I was hoping I could take the oath the same day to prevent having to do the trip all over again some weeks later.

Did you find out about the same day oath ceremony that day or beforehand? Any info would be appreciated.

Chances are you'll have a same day oath because you're coming from afar, and your interview is early. Be sure to ask when you check in. Of course if there's a problem with your case (knock on wood)... that may not happen but if all goes well, I think you'll be granted same day oath.

You're lucky if you filed mid-August and you're already lined up for interview. I filed at the end of June for ATL and I'm still waiting for IL.
