K1 visa cancellation during initial review

well, I am writing this with tears in my eyes and my shrinking heart is falling apart, but after two weeks of looking for a solution to our problem, my fiance and I decided to cancel the K1 visa, we are waiting for NOA2, it is supposed to come in a couple of weeks, but I would like to cancel the petition asap, I would really like to do it the soonest, so I (beneficiary) can travel to the US if needed, but my ex-fiance (petitioner) wants to wait until we get the NOA2, he is saying that's the best way, because he can send a letter making reference to the NOA2. He doesn't want to do it while CIS has it in initial review status. At this point, I am so confused with my feeling and with all that has happened that I can not think clearly or even look for the information in this forum or CIS website. I would really appreciate your help to guide me and get over with these conflicting feelings. At this point, I just told him that I would let him do the things the way he wanted, but I don't know if me (the petitioner) can do something to be sure that the petition will be away from my record and I will not have any problems with CBP the next time I would travel to the US. Do you know if this petition will always be in my record and if it could cause me any trouble? Your answers will help me a lot to end this process the soonest and this closure could be as smooth as possible. Thanks a million.

This two parts of your post are going to be confusing to those trying to help you......are you 1) the petitioner or 2) the beneficiary. You have stated in your post that you are both?????? Or am I completely reading your post wrong? :bonk::bonk:

sorry for the confusion, as you can see my mind is all up side down, I am the beneficiary and I want to know if I can do something, or only my ex-fiance (the petitioner) can do it. I want to still go and travel to the US with my B1/B2 visa. Thanks,

Only the petitioner can withdraw the petition, he would need to contact USCIS.
